As a part of "Visit an Enterprise" (WE TiE activity), members of TiE visited Tropicool Food Pvt Ltd on 6th of August 2011. Tropicool Food Pvt Ltd (TFPL) was established in 2006 by Mr. Vivek Nayak (Charter Member, TiE Hubli) and Mr. Prakash Kanoor, TFPL is part of the vegetable and fruit processing industry. It is in the business of processing vegetables and fruits through the individually quick frozen method. Based in Hubli (Karnataka), TFPL has a processing capacity of around 2 tonnes per hour and started commercial operations in April 2009. The company exports its products to the US, Europe, and the Middle East. During the visit Mrs Rekha Nayak, WE TiE member and wife of Mr Vivek Nayak explained the working of TFPL and also clarified the doughts of the members.
