"Home Maker to Entrepreneur" was an interactive session organised by WE TiE on 16th July 2011. The session was addressed by Mrs Manjiri Sabnis and Mrs Gandhali Sewak, Directors of WE Bangalore.
Manjiri is Instrumentation engineer having experience of 15+ years of teaching as well as working as a free lance consultant in different institutions from schools to colleges in India.
She has worked in Singapore for more than 5 years. She has excellent communication skills and has worked as a corporate instructor at international locations. She is heading a group of 15 people which is working as a content development workforce called as Women Entrepreneurs Bangalore. Manjiri has excellent presentation skills and is proficient is using many software programs.
She has designed training modules for engineering students as well as experienced engineers as well as technical and non technical persons. She has prepared engineering related training course material for different streams like Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Instrumentation. She is very well conversant with manufacturing processes and conducted classroom as well as hands on training.
Gandhali is Civil engineer having 17+ years of experience in Planning, design and management projects. She is experienced in managing projects including budgeting, scheduling and other management tasks. She has excellent people management and communication skills
She is proficient in instructional design for teaching using multimedia and in writing technical reports. She has worked on many prestigious projects in USA, Australia and Europe and also worked as corporate trainer for MNCs. She is Cofounder and director of Women Entrepreneurs, Bangalore and Founder of IDC Technologies new work location: Bangalore.
She is winner of Outstanding Performance Reward in year 2000, in R&M engineers, California, USA.
She was 1st in Pune University in the section “Planning for Transportation & utility Services” and selected as Executive Engineer in Maharashtra Government through Public Service Commission Examination.
Gandhali’s research papers on Improvement in the transport network of Dhule City and Rehabilitation of people affected by Sardar Sarovar Project in Maharashtra region are published in Indian Concrete Journal.
Both of them addressed the members about the concept of working from home and the opportunities, challenges of the working from home model. They also shared their experience of starting and running an enterprise (WE - Women Entrepreneur) which is also based on work from home concept.
