TiE -Hubli

TiE annual meet 2010 saw Mr. Arvind Melligeri, Chairman, Quest Global as the Chief Guest and the function was presided over by Gururaj Deshpande, Chairman, Sycamore Networks.

Mr. Santosh Huralikoppi, President of TiE Hubli spoke on various activities taken up by TiE in the Hubli-Dharwad-Belgaum region over the last one year. Mr. Vivek Pawar (CEO – Sankalp Semiconductor) spoke on Corporate Olympiad being organized by TiE to engage employees of various companies in the region. Mr. Prashant Yadav (Owner of Spandana Copper) presented the awards to the winners of Corporate Olympiad.

About Chief Guest : Arvind Melligeri
Aravind  Melligeri (Chairman – Quest Global), who has taken bold initiative and started Aerospace Special Economy Zone spread over 300 acres near Belgaum. This is first of its kind Aerospace supply chain ecosystem in India.  Mr. Melligeri was the keynote speaker at the event and shared his entrepreneurial journey. Prior to starting Quest, Mr. Melligeri worked for Ford Motor Company, USA. Aravind holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Karnataka Regional Engineering College, India and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, U.S.A.

About Gururaj Deshpande
Dr. Desh Deshpande spoke about TiE and gave away tips on entrepreneurship. Desh Deshpande is co-founder and chairman of Sycamore Networks, Inc. Prior to co-founding Sycamore Networks, Dr. Deshpande was founder and chairman of Cascade Communications Corp. Dr. Deshpande serves as a member of the MIT Corporation, and his generous donations have made possible MIT's Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation.
