Leveraging Opportunity is an interactive session, where in the members of TiE present their business idea/paper to a set of panel and receive feedback. It is a wonderful opportunity to understand business perspectives better, which will help in scaling or diversifying member’s businesses. Leveraging opportunity is a continuous process and this time WE-TiE members, Ms. Laxmi Rasalkar and Mrs. Tanmayi Kalebar presented their business to the set of panels involving Jagadish Hiremath, Sasisekar, Vinay K, and Prasanna Kulkarni and got feedback and suggestions to improve their business.
TiE Hubli – The world’s largest Non-Profit Organization, Fostering Entrepreneurship Globally initiated the TiE women wing with an aim of motivating and supporting the women entrepreneurs.
The event took place at the Deshpande Foundation, presided over by Dr Gururaj Deshpande, Chairman, Sycamore Networks. “Take things under your control and try to make it the best” – he said. The event intended to encourage the upcoming women entrepreneurs to global exposure. Established women entrepreneurs shared their experiences with the members present. Ms Madhuri Kulkarni, Company Secretary, Prudent Legal Solutions said “ I have got a lot of opportunities to network through TiE Hubli”. Ms Sanjana(Entrepreneur) said “ No field on the present day is women dominated or male dominated”.
Ms Shikha, IAS officer, Zilla Panchayat said “ Women have to strike a balance between personal Life and professional life”.
The keynote address was provided by Dr Deshpande, he said that “ Men and women have to be equal participants. It is very essential to be entrepreneurial in nature and have conviction in whatever you take up. Every problem has to be taken up as an opportunity.”
The program lasted for and hour with various Women Entrepreneurs providing their views.
