As a part of "Visit an Enterprise" (WE TiE activity), members of TiE visited Vibhava Industries Hubli. It was established in the year 1989, with a keen interest to provide all range of housekeeping products which would help making housekeeping easier, happier and healthier. From day one of the company Vibhava is involved in setting higher standards for housekeeping products which stand to give cleanliness with lesser efforts. Vibhava is one of the largest manufacturers of housekeeping products in India.
During the visit Sudheer Raichur explained the working of Vibhava Industries and also clarified the doubts of the members. Members got an opportunity to see the manufacturing of house keeping materials in Vibhava Industries.

During the visit Mrs Rekha Nayak, WE TiE member and wife of Mr Vivek Nayak explained the working of TFPL and also clarified the doughts of the members.
"Home Maker to Entrepreneur" was an interactive session organised by WE TiE on 16th July 2011. The session was addressed by Mrs Manjiri Sabnis and Mrs Gandhali Sewak, Directors of WE Bangalore. Manjiri is Instrumentation engineer having experience of 15+ years of teaching as well as working as a free lance consultant in different institutions from schools to colleges in India.
She has worked in Singapore for more than 5 years. She has excellent communication skills and has worked as a corporate instructor at international locations. She is heading a group of 15 people which is working as a content development workforce called as Women Entrepreneurs Bangalore. Manjiri has excellent presentation skills and is proficient is using many software programs.
She has designed training modules for engineering students as well as experienced engineers as well as technical and non technical persons. She has prepared engineering related training course material for different streams like Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Instrumentation. She is very well conversant with manufacturing processes and conducted classroom as well as hands on training.
Gandhali is Civil engineer having 17+ years of experience in Planning, design and management projects. She is experienced in managing projects including budgeting, scheduling and other management tasks. She has excellent people management and communication skills
She is proficient in instructional design for teaching using multimedia and in writing technical reports. She has worked on many prestigious projects in USA, Australia and Europe and also worked as corporate trainer for MNCs. She is Cofounder and director of Women Entrepreneurs, Bangalore and Founder of IDC Technologies new work location: Bangalore.
She is winner of Outstanding Performance Reward in year 2000, in R&M engineers, California, USA.
She was 1st in Pune University in the section “Planning for Transportation & utility Services” and selected as Executive Engineer in Maharashtra Government through Public Service Commission Examination.
Gandhali’s research papers on Improvement in the transport network of Dhule City and Rehabilitation of people affected by Sardar Sarovar Project in Maharashtra region are published in Indian Concrete Journal.
Both of them addressed the members about the concept of working from home and the opportunities, challenges of the working from home model. They also shared their experience of starting and running an enterprise (WE - Women Entrepreneur) which is also based on work from home concept.
One of the WE TiE activity : Visit an Enterprise. First enterprise visit was on 9th July, Saturday to Special Oils run by Sadhana Rao (We TiE member and Proprietor of Special Oils). Special Oils is into re-refining of used oils and it is the only company in North Karnataka that is into re-refining of used oils. This process of re-refining is environment friendly and helps saving indispensable resource. Visited members had a chance to interact with Sadhana Rao regarding the re-refining industry and to know more about the working of Special Oils. Members also discussed the opportunities and threats of re- refining industry which was both way beneficial to the members as well as to Sadhana Rao. 
We TiE started a series of "Women entrepreneurs Week " in this program various known women entrepreneurs will be presenting their business to a select audience once in a month . Following these discussions members will also be visiting Women Entrepreneurs workplace in person to gain first hand understanding of enterprise.
First week We -Tie Entrepreneurs Deepali Gotadke and Sadhna Rao presented the insights into their businesses. It was a unique opportunity to learn from some remarkable women who are not only working in an otherwise unconventional business and aspire to take it to another levels. Presenters also use this platform to seek feedback and comments from the experts and fellow We TiE and TiE members.
Deepali Godkhe : Deepali Gotadke is the Proprietor of WebDreams ,ClickHubli.com. heads the North Karnataka's first e-commerce site. She has designed and developed over 200 sites since 2001, including the prestigious sites of HDMC, Hubli-Dharwad police. and NWKRTC to name a few. She plays a key role in promoting the traditional art of “Ksauti” online. This has enhanced the employment opportunity in this region. She intends to contribute in the area of web related activities, especially in e-commerce and e-promotions.
Sadhana Rao is Proprietor of Speical oils, the only compnay in North Karnataka that re-refines used oils and hence helps saving indispensable resource. Sadhna seeks to make people aware about uses of re-refining used oil and strategies to grow her business.
There was a healthy discussion amongst the panelists and the audience. Sharing their thoughts on the occasion, Mrs. Archana Shetty, called on women to stop thinking about the discrimination and asked them to take on more challenging roles. Stressing on the same Mrs. Archana Shetty told that she dint find any discrimination between men and women and their roles and that it was only in the minds and called on women to change their mindset and work for their own betterment.
Mrs Madhuri Kulkarni, Company Secretary also stresses the point that she dint had any discrimination in the corporate society that she was delivering her duties and that stressed that she was also able to use it to her benefit that she was a woman in creating business opportunities for herself.
Mr. Vivek Nayak, Managing Director, Ken Agritech shared his views on the roles that different woman had played in his life with respect to his wife and sisters and told that they were very supportive and at times more enterprising in coming up with ideas for his business which had been benefitted of.
Mr Vivek Pawar, CEO, Sankalp Semiconductors, also stressed on the discrimination point and added that the society’s in which women took active part made a fast progress when compared to the society’s in which women were passive. He also made a reference to his wife stating that his wife played a very influential role in setting up his business at hubli which was initially not his choice to set up. But his wife played a major role in his decision of him shifting to Hubli for his business.
